Eliza's Custom Color Tips

Custom Color Ribbons

Our satin ribbons are available in 23 colors, and the sheer organza ribbon is available in 16 colors.

To create your custom color bow, choose a bottom color (satin only) and a second color to layer over the top (satin or organza).

Using Organza and Satin

If you choose a sheer organza ribbon as your top layer, we recommend layering it over a light colored satin ribbon such as white, ivory, light pink, light periwinkle or other pastels.

Another nice combination is to match the top layer of organza to the bottom layer of satin ribbon. For example, a chocolate organza ribbon looks fabulous over a chocolate satin ribbon.

Using Only Satin

Choosing satin ribbons for both layers of your bow gives the Custom Color accessories a fabulous punch of color. We love to layer two ribbons of the same color such as pistachio over pistachio, or contrasting colors such as pink over black.

When layering contrasting colors, keep in mind that the top layer will be the most pronounced, and that the knot of the bow will be the color of the bottom layer.

Touches of Metallic

For weddings with silver accents, layer white organza edged in metallic silver over white satin. For gold, layer ivory organza edged in metallic gold over champagne satin.
